How do I deal with my mother who does not wish well for me and my half-siblings, while she favors her children from her second husband?
Allah Almighty urged beneficence towards parents and showing them reverence, saying: "And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And to parents, show goodness." and "And accompany them in the world with goodness." The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, also made the mother the most deserving of good companionship three times, then the father, and commanded striving for parents instead of striving in the cause of Allah. He warned against whoever reached old age with their parents and did not enter Paradise. Therefore, one must show goodness to the mother and strive for her contentment, as long as it does not contradict Islamic law, for in that lies the happiness of this world and the Hereafter.
