Does a person become a maternal uncle to his maternal uncle and a paternal uncle to his children if his maternal grandfather's wife breastfed him three times, where she remembers that she nursed him each time until he took his mouth off, and this was repeated three times?
"Scholars have differed regarding the amount of suckling that renders a person unmarriageable (). The most authoritative opinion is that only five known sucklings make one unmarriageable, based on the of 'Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, in Muslim, and the story of Sahla bint Suhayl and Salim. They also differed on how suckling is established. The most authoritative opinion is that it is established by the testimony of a single woman, based on the hadith of 'Uqbah ibn al-Harith in Al-Bukhari. Accordingly, three sucklings do not render one unmarriageable according to the most authoritative opinion. However, it is safer to avoid marrying the daughters of one's maternal uncle (khal) to steer clear of the difference of opinion."
