Is one who rules that the full dowry should be recovered from the father of the adulterous wife, whom her husband has not yet consummated the marriage with, correct, citing the hadith: "The dowry is due to her for what you have made lawful of her private parts"?

If a woman commits adultery before consummation, she is treated as an unmarried woman (virgin) regarding the hadd punishment: she is given one hundred lashes and exiled for one year. This is the view of the majority of scholars. The woman is exiled if she has a mahram (unmarriageable kin) accompanying her; otherwise, she is not exiled, for fear of tempting her to commit further immorality.

Separation between the spouses is not mandated due to adultery. However, if the husband chooses to separate from his wife who committed adultery before consummation, he must divorce her, and she is entitled to half of the mahr (dowry). It is permissible for him to restrain her until she ransoms herself from him with money, due to her committing immorality.
