If an adulteress is divorced, is she entitled to any of her prompt or deferred dower?

If a man marries a woman who has committed zina (fornication/adultery), her mahr (dowry) does not differ from that of any other woman. If he has consummated the marriage or had legitimate privacy with her, she is entitled to the full mahr according to Islamic law. However, if he divorces her before consummation, she is entitled to half the mahr, as stated in the Almighty's saying: "And if you divorce them before you have touched them and you have already specified for them an obligation, then [give them] half of what you specified – unless they forgo it or the one in whose hand is the marriage contract forgoes it." It should be noted, however, that it is forbidden to marry a woman who has committed zina before she has offered sincere repentance.
