What should I do about my feeling of wanting to return to Islam after having embraced Christianity for 14 years, while the image of Islam remains distorted for me, and it is difficult to leave the Christians with whom my life has improved, even though I am married to a Muslim woman, have children, and am classified as a Muslim?

Whoever apostatizes from Islam and is influenced by Christians, thinking they are happy, is mistaken. The prevalence of suicide, diseases, and family disintegration among them is proof of their misery. Furthermore, their destiny is eternal hellfire. Doubt in the fundamentals of religion is dangerous, and its remedy lies in seeking refuge in Allah, holding fast to Him, and asking Him to remove the doubt, contemplating the Holy Qur’an and the Prophetic Sunnah, reading books that clarify the miraculous nature of the Qur’an and the truthfulness of the Prophet (peace be upon him), sitting with righteous people and staying away from people of falsehood and mixing with disbelievers, striving against one's self, reflecting on the greatness of Allah, and fearing His punishment. Disbelief brings no benefit; rather, it deprives one of sustenance, whereas faith is the source of honor, victory, empowerment, and a good life, as clarified by the verses of the Holy Qur’an. Distorted Christianity has no proof to establish its principles; the circulating Gospels are not the original Gospel, and they contain contradictions and errors, and they attribute vile acts to the prophets. The issues of the Trinity and crucifixion are perplexing, and the history of Christian councils reveals clear distortion. There are Islamic books and websites that respond to Christian doubts and clarify their falsehood.
