Is it permissible to communicate in English with Arabic speakers for practice purposes, and to change device settings to English for the same purpose, knowing that some people criticize the introduction of foreign words into conversation?

Learning and teaching foreign languages is permissible as long as there is no corruption involved. Practicing English for communication should be limited to what is needed, and it should not be a continuous habit, lest the Arabic language weaken, and because speaking unnecessarily is disliked. Setting device settings to English is fine if it serves an educational purpose; otherwise, Arabic is better. It is preferable to avoid mentioning foreign words without a need or a considerable benefit, out of pride in Arabic, the language of the Qur’an.
