Is it permissible to delay Maghrib prayer until after the time for Isha prayer begins, due to one of the colleagues wanting to rush to pick up her son from daycare, knowing that the prayer time does not exceed ten minutes and the distance is 50 kilometers?

What appears – and Allah knows best – is the permissibility of combining prayers in this situation, due to the hardship and difficulty that would result for the sister if she did not. This falls under the category of deriving rulings based on similar cases, where the concession is granted for the need of another, not for the person's own need.

It should be noted that if the excuse ceases with the removal of the need, then the prayer must be performed at its appointed time, and it is not permissible to delay it.
