Is it permissible to fast the entire month of Muharram, emulating Ramadan, and is it known as the month of repentance, and what are the most recommended acts of worship in it, such as increasing seeking forgiveness?

Fasting in the month of Muharram is recommended by the majority of scholars. Among the proofs for its recommendation are: "So fast Muharram, for it is the month of Allah, and in it there is a day when He forgave a people, and He will forgive others in it." And "The best fasting after Ramadan is Allah's month of Muharram, and the best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer."
