Is it sufficient to distribute blood to the poor of the Haram after forgetting the Farewell Tawaf and departing from Mecca by the distance of shortening prayers?

Whoever leaves the farewell circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada') and travels beyond the distance of shortening prayers (qasr), a compensatory sacrifice (dam) becomes obligatory upon him, which he must slaughter in the Haram, or appoint someone to slaughter it on his behalf.
