"Remorse is one of the pillars of repentance. Neglecting prayer is a grave danger, greater than adultery, theft, drinking alcohol, and taking a life. It is considered disbelief by some scholars. If it is indeed disbelief, then no exchange or ransom will be accepted from its perpetrator, nor will he be rewarded for any of his acts of obedience. Therefore, one must repent before it is too late."
