What are the reasons for the inability to ponder the Quran despite reading its exegesis?
Knowing the meanings of the Quran through reading exegesis books helps in contemplating the Book of Allah, but it is not the only means. There are other means mentioned in fatwas numbered: 46496 and 42198. One should also frequently recite the supplication: "O Allah, I am Your slave, the son of Your male slave, the son of Your female slave, my forelock is in Your hand, Your judgment upon me is assured, and Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name belonging to You, which You have named Yourself with, or taught to anyone of Your creation, or revealed in Your Book, or You have preserved in the knowledge of the unseen with You, that You make the Quran the spring of my heart, the light of my chest, the reliever of my sadness, and the remover of my worries." For whoever says it, Allah will remove his worries and sorrow.
