How can one enjoy and reflect upon the Quran, despite satanic whispers that cast doubt on its stories and its proof of being from God?
Allah commanded us to ponder the Quran, for the Quran was revealed to reflect upon its meanings, derive lessons, obey its commands, and avoid its prohibitions. Scholars have emphasized the importance of this. Among the ways to ponder the Quran are: feeling the greatness of Allah, choosing suitable times for recitation, gathering one's thoughts and seeking refuge from Satan, avoiding sins and transgressions, striving to eat lawful food, accompanying righteous scholars, sincere devotion to Allah Almighty, and emptying the heart from worldly distractions. Pondering the Quran instills tenderness and humility in the heart. As for doubt about the story of Lot, it stems from doubting that the Quran is from Allah. Whoever believes that the Quran is from Allah cannot doubt what the Quran has affirmed. Such a person should supplicate to Allah and implore Him to remove these doubts, and exert effort in guiding their heart to the truth and certainty in it. The Quran is a book with which Allah challenged humans and jinn to produce its like. It revealed unseen matters that occurred exactly as foretold, and it never becomes boring to listen to, no matter how often it is recited, and it compiled sciences that were previously unknown.
