If one despairs of reaching the owners of money, it should be spent on charitable causes and for the benefit of Muslims. Therefore, if you despair of reaching the owners of these clothes, it is permissible for you to sell them and take your wage from them, if you have not already taken it, and the remainder should be spent on public welfare.
