Is it permissible for the wife to take from her husband’s unlawfully acquired money and give it as charity without his knowledge, with the intention of benefiting those in need?

It is not permissible for the wife to take the bribe her husband receives in order to donate it as charity. Rather, it must be returned to its rightful owners. It should not be given as charity unless returning it is impossible. The wife should advise her husband against bribery and command him to repent and return the money to its owners. If the husband insists and does not comply, she is absolved of responsibility, and she is not allowed to take from that money to give as charity.
