Did revelation descend upon Adam (peace be upon him) after his descent to Earth?

The prophethood of Adam, peace be upon him, was after his expulsion from Paradise, because knowledge of the world's end and the coming of the Hereafter is known through revelation. He did not receive prophethood before eating from the tree. And Allah revealed to him and sent down scriptures upon him after his descent to the earth, as stated in His Almighty saying: "He said, 'Descend from it, all of you, as enemies to one another. And if guidance should come to you from Me, then whoever follows My guidance will neither go astray nor suffer.'"
