What is the ruling on one who doubted the number of rounds in the Farewell Tawaf, and based their decision on the higher number, then doubted after finishing the Tawaf and leaving Mecca? Is it obligatory for them to return to repeat the Tawaf? And if they return, is it obligatory for them to enter into Ihram and shave their head?

If the circumambulator (Taa’if) doubts the number of rounds (ashwat) of the circumambulation (Tawaf), then either the doubt occurs after finishing it, in which case it has no effect unless there is certainty (of error), or it occurs during it. In the latter case, he should build upon the lesser number if the probabilities are equal in his mind, or upon what he deems more likely and preponderant, by analogy with prayer. His circumambulation would then be valid.
