The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to wake up for the night vigil prayer (Qiyam al-Layl), then pray Fajr in congregation, and then sit remembering Allah until sunrise. He would fill his day with righteous deeds, such as inviting people to Islam, teaching them, visiting them, fulfilling their needs, and reconciling between them. He would travel for jihad, Hajj, and Umrah. He would visit his wives after Asr, hold consultations with his companions, receive delegations, converse with the Mothers of the Believers and tell them stories, and diligently observe the regular (Sunnah) prayers, remembrances (adhkar), and seeking forgiveness (istighfar).
