What is the ruling on one who describes a group of Muslims as studying the "Satanic Qur'an" instead of the Holy Qur'an, when they are in fact studying the Holy Qur'an?

One must show proper respect for the Word of Allah, for those who carry it [in their hearts], and for those who study it. Describing the Quran as "satanic" is considered mockery and disbelief (kufr). If the intention was to refer to mistaken understandings, then using this expression is a lack of proper manners towards the Quran, though it does not constitute disbelief. A Muslim should ponder the Quran and Sunnah (definition) according to the understandings of the righteous predecessors (Salaf al-Salih), and avoid speaking about the Quran without knowledge.
