Is there any doubt that whoever doubts the disbelief of one who insults Allah disbelieves?

Cursing Allah the Almighty is an act of disbelief that expels one from the fold of Islam, by the consensus of Muslims. Anyone who elaborates on its ruling, distinguishing between one who deems it permissible and one who does not, or between one who intends insult and one who does not, has committed a grave error and has entered the orbit of the Jahmiyyah and the Murji'ah.

The statement of those who differentiate in the ruling concerning one who curses Allah the Almighty and stipulate the condition of deeming it permissible, is an innovative and disbelieving statement. However, a specific individual who utters it is not judged to be a disbeliever until proof is established against him and misinterpretation is removed, in accordance with the principle of distinguishing between judging the act and judging the actor.

It is known that the general pronouncement of disbelief against anyone who doubts the disbelief of one who curses Allah the Almighty leads to declaring disbelievers groups of people of innovation and some Sunnis who erred in this matter.

The correct view is that the statement claiming that cursing Allah is not disbelief at all is in itself a disbelieving statement, but its specific utterer is not deemed a disbeliever due to the presence of interpretation and ambiguity.

As for one who does not doubt that cursing Allah is disbelief, but doubts the disbelief of a specific curser due to the possibility of an excuse, he is not deemed a disbeliever, unlike one who does not believe that cursing is disbelief at all.
