The mother has a great right over her children to be dutiful and benevolent to her, and she may take from her son's wealth if she is in need of it. What the wife spends from her own money in the household is considered a donation unless she agrees otherwise with her husband. The husband may gift to his wife from his wealth whatever he wishes, and the gift becomes binding upon the recipient's possession of the gifted item. A bequest to an heir is not permissible.
