Is the son obligated to carry out his deceased father's will not to marry except from within his city, or does the father have no say in the choice of the wife's country?

It is more befitting for a son to carry out his father's will, as long as it does not cause him harm, because this is a form of filial piety. This is not obligatory, as fulfilling the parents' covenant may refer to paying off their debts or executing their permissible wills. And it is obligatory for the son to choose a religious woman, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, advised.
