Did the Prophet (peace be upon him) cut off the hand of a thief or stone an adulterer during his lifetime, and is it true that the number of people whose hands were cut off in the history of the Islamic Caliphate was only nine?

Allah has legislated the Hudud (prescribed punishments) to safeguard the rights of His servants, to atone for sins, and to deter aggressors. The Prophet's Sunnah has established that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, carried out the Hudud of stoning and amputation. As for stoning, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, stoned Ma'iz, Al-Ghamidiyyah, and others. As for amputation, he amputated the hand of the Makhzumi woman who stole, and the hands of other thieves. The claim that the number of people whose hands were amputated for theft throughout the history of the Islamic Caliphate does not exceed nine is an incorrect assertion, as it is impossible to enumerate this across all Islamic lands and throughout the ages.
