Is it permissible for the parents to abort the fetus after it has been injected with a needle that may lead to its deformity, and would they incur sin if they abort it?

Abortion is not permissible unless trustworthy doctors determine that the continuation of the pregnancy poses a definite risk to the mother's life, or if the death of the fetus in the mother's womb is confirmed. Abortion for any reason other than a legitimate religious one is an aggression against Allah’s creation and a destruction of offspring, and it is considered a form of infanticide (wa’d). Therefore, it is not permissible to obey doctors in performing an abortion due to a deformity unless it poses a risk to the mother’s life.
