The marital relationship should be based on openness and transparency. The wife is obligated to obey her husband in what is good and reasonable. If a woman wishes to study or work, it is essential to obtain her husband's permission. Therefore, if the studies are free from forbidden elements, such as prohibited mixing (of genders) or going out without a hijab or without the husband's permission, then there is no harm in them. However, it is necessary to convince the husband to agree. If the reason for his refusal is a negative impact on the family's income, the wife can persuade him by undertaking the study expenses herself without affecting the family's income. If he still refuses, one can use subtle language (tawriya). A woman has the right to dispose of her own money without extravagance, wastefulness, or anything forbidden. However, maintaining the purity of marital life takes precedence over studying, working, or helping relatives. Furthermore, a wife's financial assistance to her husband carries immense reward.
