Is it forbidden to sit with one's Christian wife and her family while they are drinking alcohol in Ramadan, without partaking in it oneself, for fear that she might demand a divorce and gain custody of the children?

Marrying a Kitābīyah (a Christian or Jewish woman) is permissible, but it is fraught with risks, such as her influence on the children's religion. The majority of jurists have held that it is permissible to prevent a Kitābīyah wife from drinking alcohol and eating pork, while the Maliki school disagreed with this. If prevention is not possible, then she should not openly drink alcohol in front of the husband, and one should avoid gatherings of indecency, while making supplication and being patient in inviting her to Islam.
