Why did God specifically choose people and stones to fuel Hell?

Allah Almighty mentioned types of torment in the Fire, among which is that its fuel consists of people and stones. The people are the inhabitants of the Fire. As for the stones, scholars have mentioned regarding their specific mention that they are either a type of stone that aids combustion, or that they are idols. The wisdom behind casting idols into the Fire is to humiliate them and further demonstrate the error of their worshippers. Allah has combined people and stones because they carved idols out of those stones and worshipped them instead of Allah. This Fire is distinguished by its intensity, as it blazes with the people and stones it consumes. There is nothing in this verse to indicate that the fuel of the Fire is limited to people and stones, as other verses mention that jinn and devils are also in it.
