It is obligatory for a woman to cover her body from those for whom it is not permissible to look at it. And by whatever means complete covering is achieved according to the Sharia-compliant description, it is sufficient. So, if the clothing desired by the father achieves the Sharia-compliant covering, then it is sufficient, as Islam has not mandated a specific type of clothing. However, if the manner of dress desired by the father does not achieve Sharia-compliant covering and does not keep her away from the causes of temptation, then the Muslim woman would be sinful by wearing such clothing, and it is not permissible to obey the father in that. And he would be sinful for compelling his daughter to fall into sin.
