Is a wife obligated to inform her husband that his brothers refuse to meet him and have cut ties with him, given her knowledge that they do not want him to enter their home, or is it better for her to leave the matter undisclosed, fearing that she might be the cause of severing kinship ties?

You are not obligated to inform your husband of what has been conveyed to you about his brothers; in fact, it is impermissible, as it might be untrue. Even if true, it involves tale-bearing (namima) and could damage your relationship. Furthermore, his gifts might remove animosity. If your husband's brother intends to cause discord between you and your husband by bringing up your past, he has committed a reprehensible act and should be advised. We recommend that you and your husband hold fast to Allah, maintain trust between yourselves, and avoid delving into the past.
