A garment soiled with feces must be purified with water, regardless of how long the impurity has remained in it. As for someone from whom feces emerged during sleep and who is certain that the impurity transferred to their bed, only the soiled spot needs to be washed. However, if there is doubt about the transfer of impurity, the bed remains pure, and nothing from it needs to be washed, because the default state of things is purity, and it is not abandoned except with certainty.
