Is it permissible to shave pubic hair?

Trimming the pubic hair is among the practices of the Fitra (natural disposition) that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, commanded. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, set a time limit for trimming it, along with clipping the nails, trimming the mustache, and plucking the armpit hair, stipulating that they should not be left for more than forty days.
