Is a wife obligated to obey her husband if he demands she abort the fetus because it is disturbing him, knowing that she became pregnant despite her precautions, and if abortion is forbidden, what should she do if her husband forces her to do it?

Abortion is forbidden, even if the fetus is in the nuṭfah (sperm/zygote) stage. It is not permissible to abort a fetus merely for disliking inconvenience. It is forbidden to obey the husband in this matter, because it is obedience in disobedience to Allah. If the husband insists on abortion, someone who influences him must be directed to explain his error and remind him of the blessing of a newborn. If he is not convinced, the matter should be referred to the responsible authorities, while increasing supplication. The sin of abortion becomes greater after the ensoulment, due to it being the killing of a soul without just cause.
