Is it permissible for me to use a pen I found in the classroom and liked the way it writes?

If you take a pen you like that does not belong to you from an office or table, knowing its owner will return for it, then this is not permissible for you. You must return the pen to its place so its owner can find it, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) sayings: "None of you should take the belongings of his brother, whether seriously or in jest. If any of you takes his brother's staff, he should return it to him," and "It is not permissible for a person to take anything from his brother's property except with his good consent," and "The hand is responsible for what it takes until it returns it."
