It is recommended to fear Allah, stay away from places of temptation, busy oneself with acts of obedience and remembrance of Allah, repeatedly repent from sin, not despair of Allah's mercy, and persistently supplicate. It must be known that sins have punishments in this world, as they may make matters difficult for the one who commits them, and their effects appear, even if after a while, for "sin is not forgotten." Its consequences may also appear in those closest to the disobedient person.
