The right of a father over his son is immense, and it is not permissible to quarrel with him or to mistreat him, as that is considered disobedience. If the father commits a wrongdoing, the son should enjoin him to good and forbid him from evil with gentleness and politeness, without harshness or violence, for parents are not like others in this regard. It is recommended that he inform him of what he dislikes without violence, mistreatment, or harshness in speech. If he does not desist, he should leave him be.
