Is money earned from working in a satellite channel that broadcasts news and religious programs, but features unveiled female presenters and music, considered mixed money? And how is the amount of permissible money from it determined? And must the accumulated money from it be spent on Muslim interests if it is illicit? And is it permissible to keep it to buy an apartment? And is zakat obligatory on it? And does the hadith "Whoever introduces a bad practice will be accountable for it and for the deeds of those who follow it" apply to it due to what is shown on the channel?

The ruling on working in satellite TV channels depends on their content. If their content is forbidden, then working in them is forbidden. If it is permissible, then working is permissible. However, if good programs are mixed with bad ones, then it is permissible to work in what is permissible and forbidden to work in what is forbidden. And whoever works in what is forbidden therein is an assistant to it, and the salary earned from forbidden work is forbidden. The forbidden part of the salary must be disposed of by spending it on charitable causes, such as helping the poor. It is permissible to take what is sufficient for basic needs when one is poor, and nothing is required for what has already been consumed from the salary.
