Is it permissible to rent out an apartment to Christians—two women and a man who is a stranger to them—and is the rent lawful and permissible to benefit from?

It is not permissible to rent out a property to someone who is known or suspected to be using it for an act of disobedience to Allah, due to His saying: (And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression). If this is done, then the rental contract is void, and the rent money is ill-gotten wealth that must be given away in charity.

However, if the property is rented for residential purposes and the intention for disobedience is not known, then the rent money is permissible. But if disobedience becomes known later, then it is obligatory to forbid it and not renew the contract.
