The answer

Intentionally passing in front of a praying person is a sin. The praying women should be advised to take a sutrah (an object placed in front of a praying person to delimit their prayer space), or to pass behind it, or behind the place of prostration. Some scholars believe that if one wishes to pass in front of someone who does not have a sutrah, they should move away such that they are not considered to be passing directly in front of them by common understanding. Congregational prayer for women is better for them and is legislated. If you cannot pass behind the praying person's sutrah or their place of prostration, then do not pass in front of them; instead, wait until they finish their prayer. If the one who passes in front of a praying person knew what (sin) was upon him, it would be better for him to stand for forty (years).
