Does divorce occur with the words "you are divorced" after the wife's threats and her saying, "the day of happiness is when you divorce me," given the husband's intention not to effect a divorce?

The husband's statement to his wife, "You are divorced," is considered an explicit pronouncement of divorce and takes effect without the need for intention. This is by the consensus of jurists, as mentioned by Ibn Qudamah. The divorce occurred due to the wife's provocation and anger, and the husband should not have responded to the provocation. Rather, he should have exercised wisdom and distanced himself when either party was angry, as a warning against the consequences of anger, which is from Satan.
