What is the ruling on offering a bribe to get a job done, and what are the consequences for the one who does so if he regrets it?
If you are compelled to pay a bribe to obtain a job for which you are rightfully qualified, and not to establish falsehood or invalidate truth, then there is no sin upon you. However, if you are not compelled, then it is forbidden for you to do so, and you must repent to Allah. One of the conditions of repentance is to cease the sin by leaving the job you obtained through bribery.
