What is the ruling on burying non-Sunnis with Sunnis in the same cemetery?

If the innovator's innovation amounts to disbelief, then it is not permissible to bury him in Muslim graveyards, because the graveyards of disbelievers must be separate from those of Muslims. However, if his innovation does not amount to disbelief, then there is no harm in burying him with Muslims.
