What is the ruling on working in medical laboratories that give percentages to doctors in exchange for sending patients, and where there is mixing between men and women?

It is impermissible to give doctors a percentage of money in exchange for referring patients to a specific laboratory, as this degrades the medical profession and turns it into a commodity. It may also lead to deceiving patients. As for working in laboratories, it is permissible in itself, and the responsibility for paying money to the doctor rests with both the payer and the recipient. However, if the worker knows that the patient does not need the tests and they were requested to increase earnings, then it is impermissible to perform them, because it constitutes deception and injustice to the patient, as Allah Almighty says: "And cooperate not in sin and aggression." As for mixing in medical facilities, it is not necessary to leave the job because of it, but one must lower their gaze, avoid seclusion, and limit conversation to work-related matters.
