What is the ruling on following the Imam in his omitting the jalsat al-istiraha (session of rest)?

It is permissible for the congregant to perform the sitting of rest (jalsat al-istirahah) if the Imam omits it, because the divergence is minor, and this is not considered a contravention of the Imam. This sitting is not among the sunnahs such that performing it would result in an excessive delay from the Imam.
