Is Friday Prayer invalidated by missing the second prostration (sujud) of the second rak'ah if the worshippers are in the mosque courtyard and unable to follow the imam due to a malfunction in the loudspeakers?
If the congregant (ma'mum) makes the (salutation) with the imam, thinking that the prayer is complete, and then it becomes clear that the imam did not perform the second prostration (sajdah), then if the congregant completes the remainder of his prayer before a long interval, his prayer is valid. As for whoever leaves out that prostration or the thereafter (if it is a pillar) and does not perform them, or performs them after a long interval, his Friday prayer is invalid and he must repeat it as a Dhuhr prayer. The prostration of forgetfulness ( al-sahw) is not sufficient for this prostration or tashahhud, as they are pillars. Whoever repeats the Friday prayer as Dhuhr, that is sufficient for him.
