Is using the internet for seven hours a week considered extravagant?
Using the internet is not extravagance if it is beneficial religiously or for permissible worldly matters, and if its cost does not take precedence over essential expenses. However, if it has no benefit, or is used for impermissible matters, or its expense is prioritized over obligations, then it is extravagance, and Allah does not love the extravagant. Allah has described the servants of the Most Merciful as those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor stingy.
