What helps one to quit smoking is sincere repentance: abstaining from the sin, regretting it, and resolving never to return to it, while seeking Allah's help. One must beware of the despair inspired by Satan and of procrastination. What is required is to abandon the sin immediately and resolve never to return to it, with certainty that a servant has no power or strength except with Allah. If one resorts to Allah and asks for His help, He will respond.
