Is there a specific profit margin for the merchant in Islam?

There is no specific limit in Islamic law for the profit a merchant earns from their trade, so long as the means are legitimate. However, if this exceeds the bounds of the Sharia by exploiting the buyer's need, or by deception, or similar actions, then such profit would be unlawful.
