ما معنى أن "الإنسان أجوف أما الملائكة فهي صمد"؟

Among the meanings of Al-Samad is that He is not hollow, does not eat, and does not drink. It was also said that Al-Samad is the One who does not partake of food. Ibn 'Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, in his exegesis of the verse: "So he conceived a fear of them," stated that the angels did not eat because they are 'Samad', meaning they have no internal cavities, and therefore do not need food or drink.
