Is it permissible to consider household furniture donated to an Islamic charity as a Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) or as part of Zakat al-Mal (charity on wealth)?

Donating surplus furniture to an Islamic charity as an endowment (waqf) for those in need is a good deed. However, it cannot be considered part of zakat.
