What is the ruling of Islamic law on consummating the marriage after the marriage contract (aqd al-qiran) but before the public announcement of the marriage (ishhar), and on writing "virgin, not deflowered by him" in the divorce document, contrary to the truth? Is it permissible for the husband to take back his divorced wife, and what are her duties towards his family, especially given the advanced age of the parents and the distance of their residence?

A divorced woman with whom the husband has consummated the marriage, and the validity of their privacy has been established, her husband may take her back during her waiting period (iddah) after the first or second divorce. The divorce document does not alter this Shariah ruling. As for a divorced woman with whom the husband has not consummated the marriage, or with whom privacy has not been established, she has no waiting period (iddah), and he can only take her back with a new contract and a new dowry.
