What is the ruling on listening to the Qur’an during study, given the possibility of absentmindedness or mental wandering?

If the questioner listens to the Qur’an while reviewing her lessons, there is no harm in that. It is recommended for her to listen attentively and reflect, and there is no blame upon her if she becomes distracted or preoccupied due to an excuse. However, if she is a teacher and listens to the'an while delivering lessons, it is not permissible for her to do so, because she will not be able to combine listening to the Qur’an and fulfilling the teaching responsibility as required.
